In January 2022, the department was renamed Postgraduate Studies, Partnerships and Linkages (PPL) with a broad mandate of coordinating postgraduate studies, partnerships and linkages. The department coordinates a variety of postgraduate diplomas, master and doctoral programmes. In the academic year 2021/2022, the department facilitated the admission of twenty-seven (27) postgraduate students across all the schools – the pioneer cohort of postgraduate students at BUC. The department aims at developing quality assurance system to enhance the quality of research environment as well as promoting transparent and accountable procedures for admission, teaching & supervision in postgraduate education. Partnerships and linkages are an integral part of a modern and dynamic university. We view networking with industry, research organization and academia as a strategy for improving the quality of our programmes. In this regard, the department is stepping up efforts of initiating, facilitating and sustaining linkages between the university college and other institutions – local and international.
