Bomet University College (BUC) proudly welcomed its First-Year Students for the 2025/2026 Academic Year through a well-coordinated admission process, an engaging orientation programme, and a colorful matriculation ceremony.
Smooth and Successful Admissions (2nd September 2025)
The admission exercise was led by the Principal, Prof. Charles Mutai, together with the Deputy Principal Academic and Students Affairs, Prof. Philip Bii, and the Deputy Principal Administration and Finance, Prof. Kengara Orori. The process was seamless, thanks to the combined efforts of the Admissions Committee, Students Governing Council, staff, parents, and security personnel.
Orientation (3rd September 2025)
The orientation programme, facilitated by Deans, Heads of Departments, and staff, introduced students to academic systems, university regulations, support services, and the values that guide life at BUC. The sessions also involved the four schools: Education, Arts, Business, and Pure & Applied Sciences.
Matriculation Ceremony: Officially Part of the BUC Family (5th September 2025)
The highlight of the admissions activities was the Matriculation Ceremony, which marked the formal induction of the First-Year Students into the BUC community. The ceremony was graced by the Principal, Deputy Principals, Deans, and members of the clergy, together with faculty, staff, and students. Their collective presence highlighted the importance of this academic tradition and the beginning of a transformative journey for the students.
